Our training structure in Annapolis is fairly flexible and is designed to
suit the preferences and needs of the individual participants. Generally,
all the weapon systems are offered in concurrent sessions. There can be
more personalized training, and more open bouting.
Directions to ANNAPOLIS RECREATION CENTER.
The Annapolis Rec Center is located in downtown Annapolis at 9 St. Mary's Street.
It is bounded by St. Mary's Street, Compromise Street, and Newman Street. We train
in the gymnasium, located on the second floor.
From the DC Beltway: Take 50 East to Annapolis. At Exit 24, Bestgate Road/Rowe
Boulevard, bear right on to Rowe Boulevard (you should see the Statehouse in the
distance). Stay on Rowe Boulevard until the 3rd light. Go straight through the
3rd light on to Northwest Street (you'll see a big church ahead of you). At the
next light, turn right on to Church Circle. Follow Church Circle, and make a right
turn on to Duke of Gloucester Street (between Maryland Inn and Bank of America).
Stay in the left lane. Just beyond the second light is Newman Street. Turn left
on to Newman (a very narrow street). At the end of Newman on the right is the Rec
Center. Parking is available off Newman, behind and along side the Rec Center.
Take the outside stairs to enter the gym directly.
From Baltimore and Points North: Take I-97 south to Annapolis. Take 50 East and follow directions above.

Our training on Wednesday evenings is also flexible, and is geared to those in attendance.
German longsword is typically offered. In addition, Italian rapier and the later period
dueling weapons are also offered.
Directions to NORTH COUNTY RECREATION CENTER (NCRC).
The NCRC is located at 196 Hammonds Lane, very near the intersection of Hammonds Lane and Route 2 North in
Brooklyn Park. It is best to do a MapQuest search from your home to the facility. The NCRC is on the right
hand side of Hammonds Lane and is part of a complex of buildings attached to and part of the Brooklyn Park
Middle School. The entrance to the NCRC is at the back of the building. The best way to reach it is to enter
the parking lot of the Chesapeake Art Center (the first building you see) and drive around to the back. The
entrance to the NCRC is located where the building starts to angle back. Its not marked, but you can't miss it.
The NCRC is on the top floor and there is an elevator available. Once you get to the top floor, you'll see that
the NCRC is a separate enclosed wing of the school. The entry hall is short and T's into the main corridor.
Turn left at the main corridor and the room we're using is on the right just past the lockers.
