MASHS enjoys the comradeship of many of the schools and academies actively participating in the Western Martial Arts and Historic European Swordsmanship. MASHS has benefited from a special relationship with two such schools, enabling us to share and develop training curricula and methodologies, as well as providing opportunities to cross-train. These two schools are: Chicago Swordplay Guild Another great group of western martial art practitioners, based of course in Chicago. Greg Mele and Mark Rector co-founders. Greg's work at Sword Symposium International is well-known, and Mark has written several well received books. Special emphasis is on the Scienza d'Arme of the great rapier master Salvator Fabris, and the cut and thrust sword arts of the Bolognese school.
